Athena Manoukian wins Depi Evratesil and will represent Armenia in Eurovision 2020!

The 2020 edition of Armenia’s Depi Evratesil took place tonight in Yerevan, where a total of 12 acts competed to become the successor of Srbuk, and to represent Armenia in Eurovision 2020 in Rotterdam. After two juries (Armenian and international) voted, and the televoting results were added, it was clear that the winner is Athena Manoukian, with the song “Chains On You”.

Athena Manoukian was by far the favorite of the international jury (scoring 60 points) as well as of the Armenian jury (scoring 58 points), and was well in the lead ahead of the second placed Eva Rida before the televoting results were revealed. Whilst Vladimir Arzumanyan won the televote, Athena Manoukian finished third, but it was enough for her to win overall thanks to the big lead she gained with the two juries. Athena will thus go on to represent Armenia at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, with her song “Chains On You”.
