Evgenya Redko withdraws from Lithuania’s national selection!

The second semi final of Lithuania’s “Pabandom iš naujo – Eurovizijos Atranka 2020” has been filmed, where a total of nine contestants were due to take part. Unfortunately, one of the participants – Evgenya Redko had to withdraw from the competition, due to health issues.

Evgenya Redko was supposed to compete in the second semi final with her song “Far”, but withdrew due to health issues. She stated the following:

It is very sad but I have to withdraw from the Eurovizijos Atranka. I tried my best to get through the illness, I didn’t give up on the first Eurovizijos Atranka filming! Sadly, this time my body and the doctors said STOP. I have reached a state where I just can’t physically get over myself. I want to thank everyone for their warmth and strong support! For those who wish me to get healthy soon! I know rest and proper treatment will do my part and I hope to get back on my feet soon and move forward!

The second semi final of “Pabandom iš naujo – Eurovizijos Atranka 2020” will consist of eight participants, in this running order:

  1. Meandi – Drip
  2. Petunija – Show Ya
  3. Germanas Skoris – Chemistry (Breaking Free)
  4. Monique – Make Me Human
  5. Rokas Povilius – Vilnius Calling
  6. Monika Marija – If I Leave
  7. Andy Vaic – Why Why Why
  8. The Backs – Fully

Four acts from the second semi final will proceed to the final, and they will be chosen by a mix of televoting and jury votes. In case of a tie, the jury votes will be the tie-breaker.

Four songs have already qualified for the Grand Final from Semi 1:

  • Aistė Pilvelytė – Unbreakable
  • KaYra – Alligator
  • Rūta Loop – We Came From The Sun
  • The Roop – On Fire

Last year’s edition of Eurovizijos Atranka was won by Jurij Veklenko and his song “Run With The Lion”. In last year’s Eurovision in Tel Aviv he missed qualifying for the Grand Final by a single point.
