Tonight TRM, the Moldovan Eurovision broadcaster, will host the 2020 edition of their national selection ‘O Melodie Pentru Europa’.

Initially there were 20 contestants due to compete, however TRM have now posted on their website that Geta Burlacu has withdrawn from the show for personal reasons. She was due to perform the song ‘Răspunde!’

Vitalie Cojocaru from the TRM Organising Committee said

I had too little time to include another competitor in the Final instead of Geta Burlacu. There will be 19 participants in the National Final. The competition will evolve with this number.

The show starts tonight at 19.00 CET and will be decided by 50% jury and 50% televote. The names of the jurors will be announced immediately after the start of the show. Moldovans who wish to vote will only be allowed to do so once.
