Go_A to represent Ukraine in Eurovision 2020!

After a tense final in the Palace of Culture “KPI” in Kyiv, Go-A were announced as the winners of Vidbir 2020 and will represent Ukraine at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam in May!

The jury voted first and put crowd favourites Tvorchi in 5th after a disappointing vocal performance from the duo. Their results were:

6 Go_A

5 Krut’

4 Khayat

3 David Axelrod

2 Tvorchi

1 Jerry Heil

Then the public votes were announced, and in a unanimous decision, Go-A will be representing Ukraine with their song “Solovey” (Nightingale).

ESCBubble poll winner KHAYAT was in third, he had given a strong performance and was the favourite with our blogging team also

Go-A with their ethnic infused song “Solovey” had improved their staging from the first semi final to give a fantastically dramatic presentation and the haunting music really resonated tonight with both the juries and the televote and although they had only finished second in the 1st semi final of Vidbir, they managed to overturn this into a triumphant win

Ukraine will be performing in the first semi final in Rotterdam on May 12th and are one of only 2 nations who have never failed to progress from the semi final stage of the Eurovision Song Contest.
