Following their victory in Lisbon with Netta in 2018 and their hosting in Tel Aviv last year, Israel will be performing in Rotterdam this May as well. This year Israel will be represented by Eden Alene. Alene’s victory in this year’s edition of “Hakokhav Haba LaErovizion” (The nest star for Eurovision) was a remarkable one as it will be the first time Israel is to be represented by a black woman.

In order to choose the entry Kan (Israeli Broadcaster) decided to choose 4 entries which were all revealed today at 15:00 CET. All these entries will be a part of a national selection which is set to take place next Tuesday on 20:30 CET.

Among the songwriters we can spot some of the most popular Israeli songwriters sich as Doron Medalie and Stav Beger (writers of the winning entry of 2018 “TOY”) as well as Israeli singers Nathan Goshen and Idan Raichel.

The songs revealed are :

1. Savior in the sound

4. Feker Libi (Love of my heart in Amharic)
Lyrics & Music: Doron Medalie & Idan Raichel

The selection will feature all the songs mentioned above and these will be performed by Eden during the live show. One of these will be the Israeli entry for 2020.
