LIVE: NORWAY – Melodi Grand Prix 2020 Semi Final 5!

Dear viewers as you know Norway is celebrating 60 years of Melodi Grand Prix and participation at Eurovision Song Contest so NRK has decided to have a special Melodi Grand Prix. They reinstated the semi-finals for the first time since 2012. Each semi-final celebrates a different region of Norway and tonight it is the 5th one North Norway semi-final also held in H3 Arena in Forenbu like the previous four.

The system goes as follows four acts are competing, each will be paired into ‘duels’ – where the song which receives the most votes goes through to the final golden duel. In the Gold duel the top 2 songs will fight for the place in the final alongside 5 direct finalists and qualifiers from the other semifinals.

The four competing songs this evening (in alphabetical order) are:

Elin & The Woods – We are as One
Jenny Jenssen – Mr. Hello
Kevin Boine – Stem på mæ
Liza Vassilieva – I am Gay
 
The songs will be drawn into pairs at the start of the show. Also during the show, the fourth of the pre-qualified finalists will perform live and this time it is Tone Damli with the song “Hurts Sometimes”.
