Roos Moggré and Andrew Makkinga to host the press conferences of Eurovision 2020!

The co-operating Eurovision 2020 broadcasters (NPO, AVROTROS and NOS) have just revealed who will be hosting the press conferences during the Eurovision Song Contest 2020!
They are: Roos Moggré and Andrew Makkinga!

Roos and Andrew will be the moderators for all 87 press conferences that will be held between the 2nd and the 17th of May, such the press conferences of all 41 participating countries, the collective interview with the qualifiers of semi-final 1 and 2 and the winner’s press conference straight after the Grand Final!

Roos Moggré is a journalist and host for the AVROTROS current affairs programme EenVandaag.
Next to hosting TV shows and appearing on talk shows, Roos can also be heard as one of the voices of Radio EenVandaag.

Roos is honoured to have been asked to do this and says:

Musicians and journalist will be coming here from the entire world and I think it’s fantastic that I, as a Dutch person, gets to be there!

”Ready for it! So cool I get to go to work at @songfestival.avrotros, together with @makkinga”, Roos exclaims!

Andrew Makkinga is a Dutch host and conferencier with Ugandese roots with an extensive knowledge in the fields of politics and music.
The Dutch audience might recognise him from his live reporting from high-profile events as the North Sea Jazz Festival or being a radio DJ for NPO Soul & Jazz.

His professional background also extends to his interest in this event, as he comments:

I’m particularly interested in the diversity of musical genres we can expect!

As usual, the qualifiers press conferences and the winner’s press conference will be streamed live on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel!
