Selecţia Naţională Eurovision 2020 moves to Buzău!

Today Buzău was named the host city of the romanian National Final! The event will take place at Sala Sporturilor „Romeo Iamandi” from Buzău.
It’s not the first time when Selecţia Naţională is hosted in another city from Romania, so far we had shows in Bucureşti, Baia Mare, Craiova, Arad, Iaşi, Focşani, Timişoara, Turda and Sighişoara.

Last night Roxen was named the representative of Romania at Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Her song will be selected on 1st March with the help of the public and a national jury. In the final Roxen will present 5 songs, which were specially composed in a music camp, organised by Global Records company.

Larisa Roxana Giurgiu, is a young artist, new on the spotlight but already with a top 10 Club Charts in UK , her song with SICKOTOY was the most played song on The Voice Radio Bulgaria in last week of October and has also been played in over 15 countries. “Ce-ti Canta Dragostea” is also a big hit from her in Romania, with over 8 millions views so far.

Roxen was in the race to represent Romania among with Cezar and Diana V, but she ended up winning after a long decision from the jury. In the jury for choosing the voice of Romania took part:Crina Mardare, vocal coach, Luminiţa Anghel (Romania 2005) , Lucian Ştefan, Liana Stanciu, Dan Manoliu, Gabriel Scîrlet, Liviu Elekes, Andrei Tudor and Bogdan Păun.

Last year Romania failed to qualify in the final, they finished 13th in the semifinal with Ester Peony and her song “On a Sunday”.
