Supernova 2020: Changes to voting and details of show!

The final of LTV’s “Supernova” selection process will be held this coming Saturday, February 8th, and we now have details of the show, and how the voting will work.

As we hinted in our recent article, not only do we have only the one show this season, but there has also been a complete overhaul in the way the winner will be chosen!

There will be a four member jury in the studio on the night of the show, they will be :

  • Maarja Merivoo-Parro – Main Content Editor of Estonian Radio station Raadio 2
  • Gerūta Griniūtė – Jury member from Lithuania’s Selection process “Pabandom iš naujo!”
  • Petri Mannonen – Head of Baltic Region for Universal Music Group
  • Artis Dvarionas – Latvian Radio SWH program producer and musician

But in a change to the previous years process, Ilze Jansone, Supernova Producer explains ” “Viewers and songwriters will be able to listen to the jury’s views on the success of the finals, but there will be no jury votes this year. The winner of the contest will be determined by adding the votes of viewers by telephone, SMS and internet”

The hosts as previously reported will be Ketija Šēnberga, Toms Grēviņš and Beta Beidz (Beāte Bērziņa) and the show will be broadcast on LTV from 2025CET on Saturday

The running order was decided in a random draw and is as follows:

1 Seleste “Like Me”
2 DRIKSNA “Stay”
3 Katrīna Bindere “I Will Break Your Heart”
4 Edgars Kreilis “Tridymite”
5 Katrīna Dimanta “Heart Beats”
