The First semi-final of Portuguese Festival Da Canção 2020 is kicking off tonight. Eight acts will compete for the four spots which will take them to the Grand Final of Portuguese Eurovision selection, scheduled for the 7th of March at the Coliseu Comendador Rondão Almeida in Elvas, and it will be hosted by Eurovision Song Contest 2018 co-host Filomena Cautela, alongside Vasco Palmeirim. The semi-final 1 will be hosted by Jorge Gabriel and Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and held in RTP’s studios in Lisbon.

- Bárbara Tinoco – Passe-Partout -24.83%
- Elisa – Medo de Sentir – 17.26%
- Throes + The Shine – Movimento – 10.49%
- Meera – Copo de Gin – 7.57%
- JJaZZ – Agora – 3.72%
- Filipe Sambado – Gerbera Amarela do Sul – 2.92%
- Ian Mucznik – O Dia de Amanhã – 1.46%
Blasted and Barbara top the poll and according to your votes both are a clear qualifier with 31.74% and 24.83% of your votes. As the third qualifier, you would like to see Elisa and as the fourth qualifier and also fourth act which received more than 10% of your votes are Throes + The Shine while other acts didn’t manage to receive more than 8% each. The act which failed to impress you was Ian Mucznik receiving only 1.46% of your votes.
