UK Entry: BBC posts video to Instagram
The BBC have today posted a video to their Eurovision account on Instagram containing a video.
The silent video shows an aerial shot looking over a snowy forest with someone walking. Does this mean that the country will be sending a solo artist and does the location give a clue to the artist?
The BBC announced on Saturday that the song and singer be revealed this Thursday morning on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and the BBC Sounds App.
Who could the UK singer be?
Many people online have speculated well known singers including Fleur East, Alexandra Burke, aswell as the recently reformed band JLS, however one of the most frequently mentioned artist seems to be the singer John Newman.
The singer tweeted today about being ‘locked, loaded and ready’.Could this be in reference to Thursday? He’s also mentioned a ‘walk in the woods’ last month (see below), which could be a reference to the Instagram video, aswell as both Eurovision commentator Rylan Clark Neal and BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James both recently following the singer. A walk in the woods takes the stress away! All i need is a sauna and a freezing cold lake to get in then marshmellows by the fire! Jn summed up pic.twitter.com/HGiIsQ3jEx

John’s also has a Eurovision connection via his brother James who co-wrote ‘Dying to try’ Ireland’s song for the Eurovision in 2017. (You can see Brendan Murray’s performance in the 2nd Semi Final below)
