Former Italian Eurovision entrants will perform to raise funds for the Civil Protection Department!

The pandemic of COVID 19 has hit the world and it even cancelled Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Italy is one of the countries which has experienced the biggest damage and it was noted that music is the light of hope for all Italians as many of them started singing various songs from their terraces supporting each other during the lockdown.

Italian broadcaster Rai together with Latarma Management S.r.l. decided to gather the stars of Italian music and entertainment in one place in order to organize a fundraiser entirely intended for Civil Protection, committed daily against the coronavirus it will be presented through a show named “Musica che Unisce” (Music that Unites) which will be broadcasted on 31st of March at Rai 1.

The artists, strictly from their homes, will give the audience new live sets, all different and unique, which will follow one another creating a long flow of shared music, to raise funds and remember how the connection between human beings, possible through music, is fundamental to overcome together and responsibly this now global emergency.

Former Italian Eurovision representatives will take part in this initiative: DiodatoEmma MarroneErmal MetaFrancesca MichielinFrancesco GabbaniGianni MorandiMahmood and Marco Mengoni.

They will be joined by some famous names of the Italian music scene, some of which also took part at Sanremo: Alessandra AmorosoAndrea Bocelli, Brunori SasCalcuttaCesare CremoniniElisaFedezGazzelleGigi D’AlessioLevanteLudovico EinaudiMåneskinNegramaroPaola TurciRiccardo CoccianteTiziano Ferro and Tommaso Paradiso.


However, not only musicians are going to take part, as there will be a lot of other famous names of the Italian entertainment world such as Roberto Bolle, Luca Zingaretti and Paola Cortellesi. Including sports Andrea Dovizioso, Bebe Vio, Federica Brignone, Federica Pellegrini, Roberta Vinci, Valentino Rossi and it will be narrated by Vincenzo Mollica. A show without advertising breaks and above all without the artists on stage, everyone will contribute remotely. Scientific analysis will also be provided by the experts organized with the support of the Italian Ministry of Health.

If you want to contribute to this initiative you can do so by submitting your performance. In order to help Italy there are also GoFundMe campaigns for hospitals all over the country and volunteer efforts if you can’t do any of the following you can still follow the show “Musica che Unisce” which will be aired on Tuesday 31st of March at 20.35 CET on Rai 1. It will be available on all Rai platforms: RaiPlay, broadcasted simultaneously at Rai Radio2 and streamed on Facebook, Youtube and www.musicacheunisce.it.
