Listen to the Dutch entry “Grow” by Jeangu Macrooy!

The Netherlands has premiered their song at the official youtube channel of Eurovision Song Contest. “Grow” is the name of the song which will be defending the colours of The Netherlands at Rotterdam Ahoy Arena it will be performed by Jeangu Macrooy.

Jeangu Macrooy was born in 1993 in Suriname, and moved to the Netherlands at the age of 21 where his career really took off. He participated in various Dutch festivals, he’s a recurring guest in TV shows and also, he was nominated twice for an Edison Award, the Dutch equivalent to the American Grammy Awards. Regarding the song “Grow” which he will be performing in the final of Eurovision Jeangu said:

Emotions, good and bad, are a universal language. I hope this song makes people feel a little less lonely in their search for happiness. I think that openness and honesty about how we really feel will ultimately bring us closer. I believe in the power of music to bring people together. It’s the reason I do what I do.
