In response to the recommendations all over Europe that people should stay at home to stop the spread of the Coronavirus, Salvador Sobral – the winner of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, and guitarist André Santos will perform a concert at home at 10:30 PM CET and will broadcast it online, as reported by the Portuguese portal Observador.
Salvador Sobral recorded a video message promoting this concert for all the people who will be staying at home this Saturday, and said:
We decided to do a concert for everyone who is quarantined at home, either voluntary or not. We are going to do a live streaming, me and my friend André Santos. We are going to do Quinta das Canções. There will be a piano as well, and I’m also going to play the piano a little bit – badly and dirty as I play it. But there, let’s play a little bit of music together, Saturday at 9:30 PM (Portuguese time). Until then.
Quinta das Canções that Salvador is mentioning is a project that he does together with André Santos, where the two guys cover other songs and post them online on Youtube. You will be able to follow Salvador’s concert live on his official Facebook page here (click).
Salvador Sobral won the 2017 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with “Amar pelos dois”.
