Russia confims their participation at JESC 2020!

Russia is the newest country which confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 and joined Georgia, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Ukraine. The contest will take place this November in Poland. The national final will be organised in Russia to determine their representative of JESC 2020 and in charge of the organization is Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music Development in cooperation together with Russian broadcaster VGTRK.

Submissions will be opened from 6th of April and last until 25th of August, singers should be 9 to 14 years old and legal residents or citizens of Russian Federation for at least two years. After the submissions close auditions which be held in Moscow where the jury will decide which acts will compete at the national final. More about submission here.

The final is set to take place on 16th of September in Moscow. VGTRK will broadcast it on 19th of September. Russian representative at JESC 2020 will be determined by 50% of the jury votes and 50% of the online votes.

Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak – “A Time For Us”


So far Russia has 2 victories at JESC 2006 & 2017. Russian representatives at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Gliwice were Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak with the song “A Time For Us” they ended at 13th place with 72 points.
