SRF Announces A Lookback Show Through Swiss Eurovision History!

Swiss broadcaster has announced that they will be airing a special lookback show to Swiss Eurovision moments named “Die Schweiz am ESC – Dramen, Siege, Emotionen” (Switzerland at the ESC – drama, victories, emotions). The show will be broadcasted on the 16th of May with the beginning at 20:10 CET.

SRF will go through Swiss 61 participations at Eurovision. With the accent to the shows held in 1956 and 1988, in which Lys Assia and Celine Dion, respectively, were able to bring the victory for Switzerland. Through interviews, they will also present the Eurovision experiences of their former entrants Paola Felix (Eurovision 1969), Peter Reber (Eurovision 1981) and Sandra Studer (Eurovision 1991) as well as their candidate for 2020 Gjon’s Tears won’t be able to perform his song “Répondez-moi” due to the cancellation of the contest but it has been decided that he will be the Swiss representative at the next year’s contest with a new song. The singers will be joined by TV presenter, radio host, editor and Swiss German commentator of Eurovision since 2008, Sven Epiney, who will also get a chance to share his Eurovision experience.

After “Die Schweiz am ESC – Dramen, Siege, Emotionen” finishes SRF will be broadcasting “Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light”.
