Ana Soklič will represent Slovenia in Eurovision 2021!

A couple of minutes before Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light starts, the Slovenian national broadcaster has announced that the winner of EMA 2020, Ana Soklič has been selected to represent Slovenia at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Ana Soklič won this year’s EMA and she was supposed to represent Slovenia in Rotterdam this year with “Voda”. As the Contest got cancelled, RTVSlo decided to select Ana internally for next year’s contest, where she is going to perform a brand new song. Whether the song Ana is going to sing will be chosen internally as well, or EMA will be organized in order to select a song for her, is yet to be confirmed.

Ana Soklič stated:

I am very honored and happy. I will do my best. I have a lot of work to do. I have a sense of great responsibility to myself and to represent my country as well as possible.
