SVT reveals details for their Eurovision week!

As we announced here, Swedish broadcaster SVT prepares Eurovision week. They released some new details regarding their shows.

Eurovision: Inför ESC

Will be aired on Saturday 9th of May at 21:00 CET on SVT1 and SVT Play. All 41 entries will be presented. Twenty-five songs will be sent to the final of the show “Sveriges 12:a” Viewers will vote in the Mello app. No telephone voting. The host will be David Sundin. Christer Björkman will be a guest. In addition, 12 sofa writers participate in six pairs and will give their impressions on the entries:

Tim Knapp-Johnson, 9 years (pair 1)
Katrin Sundberg, actor 
Fredrik by Klercker, style expert (pair 2)
Linda Bengtzing, artist 
Ace Wilder, artist (pair 3)
Sven Hallberg, radio presenter
Daniel Hallberg, TV presenter (pair 4)
Parisa Amiri, journalist 
Johanna Nordström, comedian (pair 5)
Titti Schultz, radio presenter
Pharaoh Groth, radio presenter (pair 6)

Eurovision: Sveriges 12:a

Is set to take place on Thursday 14th of May from 21:00 CET on SVT 1 and SVT Play. The host of the show will be Sarah Dawn Finer and she states: “I love the live broadcast, when anything can happen. And to lead Sveriges 12:a is indeed a great honor! There is of course a pity that Eurovision is set in the year, but it’s easy to understand why. So therefore particularly gratifying that with this program, a large candy bowl for all Eurovision-lovers, spreading joy and music. It is something we all need right now!”

The results of the vote will be presented during the live broadcast. When the program starts at 21:00 CET all the previous votes for the songs at the Mello app will be removed and each song will have 0 votes and the voting for the 25 finalists wilbegin. Each viewer can cast 5 votes.

1. Viewers will vote live on the Mello app. No telephone voting. 
2. The jury votes.

The jury gives 1-12 points and the audience gives 1-12 points. The song which gets the most points wins and gets Sweden’s 12th (the second-place gets Sweden’s 10th, third place Sweden’s 8th and so on).

Eurovision: Europe shine a light, the official show created instead of this years Eurovision will be aired in Sweden on Saturday 16th of May from 21:00 CET on SVT1 and SVT Play.
