Poland has opened applications for JESC 2020!

After the last years success of Viki Gabor, who first won Polish national selection “Szansa na Sukces” and later on also won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Superhero” TVP has revealed that for the second year in a row they will be using “Szansa na Sukces” as the selection method of Polish representative for Junior Eurovision Song Contest.  The application procedure has been opened today.

According to the official Facebook page of Szansa na Sukces, children aged 9 to 14 can apply to represent Poland at Junior Eurovision Song ContestIn order to be eligible they need to send a video of their interpretation of two Polish songs by 12th of July. The application is sent to: casting.eurowizjajunior@tvp.pl and it should also include the name, date of birth, place of residence and contact of an adult.

TVP has not published all the details of Szansa na Sukces but it is expected that the format of it will be quite similar to the last year’s edition. Just a reminder last year, 21 young artists were selected in the castings. Then they competed in three heats which were aired first three Sundays in September last year. The winner of each heat advanced to the final where they performed own song created for Junior Eurovision Sonc Contest.

As it was announced earlier, Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held for the 18th time, 2nd time in a row in Poland, on 29th of November in Warsaw. The countries which have so far confirmed that they are going to take part in the show are: Poland, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain and Ukraine.
