Belarus opens the submissions for their Junior Eurovision entry!

Belarusian broadcaster BTRC has opened submissions for participants at their Junior Eurovision 2020 preselection. You can access the call here and the rules here. (all the documents, call and application forms are in Belarusian). The deadline for all entries to be submitted is 15th of August. No later than 24th of August the focus group will summarize the qualifying round and select up to 15 participants which will perform in the final.

However they also stated that the final decision on the participation of Belarus in the Junior Eurovision and the format for choosing our representative will be made no later than 7th of September. There are two possible options for Belarus to choose their entry as it is stated in the rules:
the internal selection (without television and Internet broadcasting), not later than 15th September 2020; and a national selection in the form of a gala concert which won’t take place later than 16th of October 2020.

Last year Belarus organized a final to determine their Junior Eurovision entry and Liza Misnikova won with the song “Pepelniy”

The countries which confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision 2020 are:KazakhstanPoland, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, The NetherlandsRussiaSerbia, Spain, Ukraine and Germany who will be making their debut. The latest news include the two withdrawals as Wales and Australia both made decision not to take part at Junior Eurovision 2020.
