Johnny was the last performer of the night after which he managed to move judges to tears. One of the coaches, Kelly Rowland told him that he sang from the depths of his soul and that his performance was so powerful her soul needed to hear it, while his coach Guy Sebastian told him he was honoured to have him on his team.
At the end each of the when each of the judges was announcing which of the two singers from their team will advance to the grand final, Guy struggled with his decision but at the end he told Johnny he was a once in a generation singer and he felt he had unlocked something in his performance which had moved them all. After hearing the decision overwhelmed with emotion Johnny said that he hoped he had touched and moved people because that was what he wanted to do.
