As we previously announced Poland will be using the show “Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior” to determine their representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The three jury members for the first episode of the show have been revealed.
The first stage of the National selection involves a duel of 7 participants in each of the 3 episodes of the show in every episode different participants will be competing for a place in a special/final episode of the show. Each episode has 2-3 members of the jury which will select the artist going further and each episode has different jury members. The second stage involves all 3 winners of the first three episodes of the show and they will perform two songs. First song will be from the list of songs selected by the producer for a given episode of the program participant won but it will not be the same song with which the participant qualified further while the second song will be the participant’s song in accordance with the regulations of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 indicated by the producer. The winner and the next the Polish representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, will be selected by the jury and viewers who will cast their votes through SMS vote. First episode will take place on 6th of September while the second and third episode will be following Sundays 13th and 20th of September and the final show is set to take place on 27th of September. We already wrote about the Judges for the first episode and the judges for the second episode. Now it is time to reveal the judges which will determine the third finalist.
Viki Gabor has won Junior Eurovision 2019 and prior to that she is famous to the Polish audience as the finalist of 2nd season of The Voice Kids Poland.
Edyta Górniak singer known as the first representative of Poland at Eurovision Song Contest back in 1994 she managed to reach 2nd place which is up to date the best Polish result at the contest with song “To Nie Ja!” She has been part of the judges panel of the Voice Kids as the coach of Roksana Węgiel, the first Polish winner of Junior Eurovision.
Piotr Rubik is a composer and conductor. He is no stranger to Junior Eurovision as he composed the Polish entry “Nie Zapomnij” which was sung by Olivia Wieczorek at competition in Malta 2016.
The countries which have so far confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision 2020 are: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Portugal, France, Georgia, Malta, The Netherlands, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine and Germany who will be making their debut. While Australia, Wales, Ireland and North Macedonia announced their withdrawals from the show.
