First judges of Polish national selection for Junior Eurovision revealed!

As we previously announced Poland will be using the show “Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior” to determine their representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The three jury members for the first episode of the show have been revealed.

The first stage of the National selection involves a duel of 7 participants in each of the 3 episodes of the show in every episode different participants will be competing for a place in a special/final episode of the show. Each episode has 2-3 members of the jury which will select the artist going further and each episode has different jury members. The second stage involves all 3 winners of the first three episodes of the show and they will perform two songs. First song will be from the list of songs selected by the producer for a given episode of the program participant won but it will not be the same song with which the participant qualified further while the second song will be the participant’s song in accordance with the regulations of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 indicated by the producer. The winner and the next the Polish representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, will be selected by the jury and viewers who will cast their votes through SMS vote. First episode will take place on 6th of September while the second and third episode will be following Sundays 13th and 20th of September while the final show is set to take place on 27th of September.

The jury members of the first episode (6th of September) are:

Katarzyna Łaska – singer, musical and voice actress
She performed in many musicals and she is also known as one of the most famous Polish voice actresses her projects include: Barbie movies, Winx, Rugrats, High School Musical, My little pony, Tinkerbell, Pokemon, Rick and Morthy and many other movies, cartoons and characters which she voiced but to the younger audience she is most famous for being the Polish singing voice of Elsa (Frozen & Frozen II). On 9th of February this year she appeared as a guest performer for Frozen Medley at 92nd Oscars.

Dawid Kwiatkowski –  singer and songwriter. So far Dawid has released six studio albums he is also winner of MTV European Music Award  for the best European performer and best Polish performer. He took part in Polish version of “Dancing with the Stars” and from 2018 he is a coach in The Voice Kids Poland. Recently he released a song with Polish representative at Eurovision 2014, Cleo.

Marina Łuczenko – Szczęsna – singer, actress, producer, songwriter and composer. In 2003 she performed the song “Sen” in the final of the national selection for the first Polish participation at Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She appeared in some of the popular series and TV Shows, while in 2010, Marina released her first single, “Glam Pop”, which was followed by her first studio album, “Hard Beat”, which she released in 2012.

The countries which have so far confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision 2020 are: BelarusKazakhstanPolandPortugal, France, GeorgiaMaltaThe NetherlandsRussiaSerbiaSpainUkraine and Germany who will be making their debut. While AustraliaWales, Ireland and North Macedonia announced their withdrawals from the show.
