Kazakhstan announces a televised national final for Junior Eurovision!
Kazakh broadcaster Khabar TV has announced that they will be selecting their participant through a televised national final. The submissions are opened til 20th of August. More informations about the rules could be found here. The members of the jury are:
Bagym Mukhitendova – Music producer;
Khamit Shangaliyev – Music producer and composer;
Erlan Bekchurin – Sound producer of Dimash Kudaibergen;
Zhanar Dugalova – Winner of Turkvision 2014;
Amre – Winner of Slavianski Bazaar 2018;
Dinaya – II place of “New Wave” held in 2015;
ZaQ – Rapper and dancer, member of “Ninety One”;
Indira Edilbayeva – Superfinalist of “The Voice Ukraine” 2020
As we announced earlier, the competition will consist out of four stages. The first stage is accepting applications which is happening now. Then, through online voting, the 30 strongest contestants will be selected from all received applications, and 12 finalists will be selected from these 30 through the voting of jury members. They will compete on 26th of September live on the Khabar TV for the title of the best, and the winner will represent our country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The countries which have so far confirmed their participation are: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Portugal, France, Georgia, Malta, The Netherlands, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine and Germany who will be making their debut. While Australia, Wales, Ireland and North Macedonia announced their withdrawals from the show. Last year, Yerzhan Maxim ended on the second place (first – according to the juries) performing “Armanynnan kalma” (Follow your dream)
