Germany has decided on their first representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest and as we previously announced they will present them through the show „KiKA LIVE: Junior Eurovision Song Contest – Das Casting“ on 1st and 2nd of September at 20:00 CEST.
KiKA, NDR and ZDF have opened the applications in order to find the young singer by the deadline 31st of July more than 70 talented young people between the ages 9 to 14 have applied and only five of them made through to the casting round. In that round a four-person jury made the decision who will defend the colours of Germany and with which song will they make their debut.
The five candidates are:
Linnea May – 13, from Friedrichsdorf in Hesse
Malaika – 14, from Herrsching in Bavaria
Davit – 12, from Neustadt in Rheinland-Pfalz
Leroy Kay – 13, from Neuruppin in Brandenburg
Susan – 13, from Berlin
