Listen to the last bunch of hopefuls for Ukrainian national final of Junior Eurovision!
Ukrainian broadcaster has confirmed their participation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw and they announced the way their national selection will be organised. After we revealed you acts 1-3 we also wrote about acts 4-6 then acts 7-10 were revealed and also we revealed acts 11-18, and more young singers acts 19-25, then acts 26-37 and finally acts 38-45 now it is time to reveal the latest participants 9 of them make total of 54 hopefuls who are competing for the final 11 spots which will be decided from 26th to 27th of August. Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection was also hit by a disqualification of one of the applicants about which we wrote here. Keep in mind that there is a slight chance of seeing a bit more entries which are submitted tomorrow too as it could also happen that organisers didn’t reveal all of them yet.
Applications are closing today. Participants submitted their applications at the UA: PBC website , and all the applications which meet the requirements of the national selection regulations have been published on the website with the hashtag #uajec2020. Each participant is now collecting “likes” for their videos.
Kristina Melnychuk is singing “Tam de my ye” (Where We Are). She is from Zhmerynka and last year she won two prizes at a festival “Talented Children of Ukraine”.
Group Los Bananas performs “Dive in the water”. The vocalist of the band is Evanhelina Zamula who participated at the national final last year with the song “Malyi You”.
Anhelina Terennikova presents “The Vibe”. She has competed at last years national final for Junior Eurovision with the song “Fly Away” while the audience also knows her as a participant of the fifth season of “The Voice Kids Ukraine” where she was coached by Jamala and was eliminated in the battle rounds.
Mariya Vavrish is covering Runnin’ (Lose it All) by Naughty Boy ft. Beyoncé. When she was younger as part of School of Pop Performance “Dream School” from Kyiv she recorded a song “Міжпланетні ПА“.
Arina Khmelyuk is covering “Golden slumbers” by The Beatles. She goes to Kyiv vocal school Arina has participating in many festivals and last year she performed in a musical “Santa’s Factory“.
Daniela Dmitriyeva is singing “Polyubyla”.
Yaroslav Politov sings “Ya b tudy”. He is known as a superfinalist of the fifth season of “The Voice Kids Ukraine” at his blind audition Yaroslav covered Australian Eurovision song from 2016 “Sound Of Silence” by Dami Im.
Darya Moskalenko sings “Ya Viryu” (I Believe). She took part in Festival Yaskravi dity Ukrayiny – konkurs dytyachoyi tvorchosti (Bright children of Ukraine – children’s art contest) in 2018.
Oleksandra Melkonyan covers “Dance Monkey”.
From 28th of August to 4th of September, the list of eleven finalist will be announced and the relevant agreements will be signed. Additionally, UA: PBC will provide a song for participants who have submitted previous versions to record. Original song players will also have the opportunity to record this song, if they choose so.
The final phase will commence from 5th to 7th of September when a jury and the users of social networks will decide the winner among the eleven participants.
It is expected that the winner of the next Ukrainian representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be announced before 12th of September. Do you have a favourite singer and song/cover? Let us know in the comments below!
