Ukrainian broadcaster has confirmed their participation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw and they announced the way their national selection will be organised. After we revealed you the first acts we also wrote about other four songs which will take part and another four acts were revealed it is time to reveal more young singers who are competing for the final 11 spots which will be decided from 26th to 27th of August we can present you other Junior artists fighting for a place in the national final. Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection was also hit by a disqualification of one of the applicants about which we wrote here.

Applications are opened until 25th of August. Participants can submit their applications at the UA: PBC website , if the application meets the requirements of the national selection regulations the participant’s video will be published on the website with the hashtag #uajec2020. And each participant can collect “likes” for their videos until 25th of August. So far they have revealed three participants some of which are familiar to the Ukrainian audience.

Lidiya Okilko is performing the song “Svitanok” (Dawn) she is from Lviv and has a youtube channel on which she did lots of covers.

Valeriya Koval is covering the song “Strange Birds”.She is from Zhytomyr and has been singing since she was 5 years old and has so far won many Ukrainian and International competitions. “We found out about the selection by accident, only a week ago. We held several rehearsals, shot a video and sent an application, ”said the girl’s mother Alyona Koval.

Anastasiya Bratashchuk has covered Maltese winning entry at JESC 2013 by Gaia Cauchi “The Start”. She is 10 years old and comes from Mykolayiv. Anastasiya has already participated at festivals.

Olena Usenko is singing her song “Never Get Free”. Like couple of other artists she participated in the fifth season of The Voice Kids Ukraine but unfortunately hadn’t made past the blind auditions even though she sang the song of one the judges.

Nika Korniyenko has made a cover of the song “Holubka” (Dove).

Vira Melnichenko has covered “Bad Dreams” while on the youtube channel it is possible to find her other covers.

Katerina Gerasimchuk has covere “Make The World Go Away”. She is from Zhmerynka and plays saxophone. Katya already won international and national competitions, and even during the quarantine period, she competed and won four competitions. Among all the prizes she won Katerina entered the top 25 of the encyclopedia “The Most Outstanding Children of Ukraine”

From 28th of August to 4th of September, the list of eleven finalist will be announced and the relevant agreements will be signed. Additionally, UA: PBC will provide a song for participants who have submitted previous versions to record. Original song players will also have the opportunity to record this song, if they choose so.

The final phase will commence from 5th to 7th of September when a jury and the users of social networks will decide the winner among the eleven participants.

It is expected that the winner of the next Ukrainian representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be announced before 12th of September. Do you have a favourite singer and song/cover? Let us know in the comments below!
