Listen to the newly revealed Ukrainian hopefuls for National Final of Junior Eurovision!

Ukrainian broadcaster has confirmed their participation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw and they announced the way their national selection will be organised. After we revealed you acts 1-3 we also wrote about acts 4-6 then acts 7-10 were revealed and in our last article we revealed acts 11-18, and more young singers acts 19-25, now it’s time to present acts 26-37 who are competing for the final 11 spots which will be decided from 26th to 27th of August. Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection was also hit by a disqualification of one of the applicants about which we wrote here.

Applications are opened until 25th of August. Participants can submit their applications at the UA: PBC website , if the application meets the requirements of the national selection regulations the participant’s video will be published on the website with the hashtag #uajec2020. And each participant can collect “likes” for their videos until 25th of August. So far they have revealed three participants some of which are familiar to the Ukrainian audience.

Sofiya Shkidchenko is singing “OK”. She is a 14 year old girl which rose to fame after showing her yodeling skills in “Ukraine Got Talent” after that Sofiya took part in the Ukrainian national selection for Junior Eurovision held in 2017 where he ended on 8th place with the song “Yo De Ley”.

Iosyf Kozlovsʹkyy presentes “Dreaming In The Rain”  the authors of the song are Greek composers Vangelis Doukoutselis and Marios Karabotis.

Viktoriya Borbunevych sings “Kozhen den” (Every day). She is from Vinnytsya and she took part in many festivals and singing competitions.

Oleksandr Balabanov is singing “Vidkryvay” (Open). He participated in the last two editions of Ukrainian national selection for Junior Eurovisionin 2019 with the song “Power in You” and in 2018 he was second on the online voting with the song “Ми Діти Землі” (We Are The Children Of The Earth).

Anastasiya Zhukova is covering the song “Better Love” (by Katerine Duska) in Ukrainian. She is 14 years old from Chernihiv and has participated in many festivals and also has experience in songwriting.

Valeriya Kostyuchenko is performing “Ya taka yak ye” (I am as I am). She is 14 years old.

Dmytro Banarʹ sings “Zhyttya yak fortepiano” (Life As A Piano). He is 13 years old boy from Kolinkivtsi. He competed in festivals.

Veronika Petrusʹ is singing “Mriya zhyttya” (Dream Of Life). She has competed in many festivals and competitions and last year she was awarded at a festival “Mystetsʹkyy khram” and 2 years ago she covered Jamala’s “1944“.

Nikita Achkasov is singing “My Oasis”. He is known as a finalist of Fifth season of “The Voice Kids Ukraine”.

Darya Rebrova sings “My vilni” (We Are Free). She is from Kramatorsk and has already competed in many festivals and here you can watch her performance of “Shake It Off“.

Matviy Krupskyy sings “Novyy den” (New Day) He is 9 years old and comes from Mykolaiv.

Darina Krivenko is covering “Solovey”. She is from Kiev and she won 2nd place at the festival Chernomorski Ihry 2019.

From 28th of August to 4th of September, the list of eleven finalist will be announced and the relevant agreements will be signed. Additionally, UA: PBC will provide a song for participants who have submitted previous versions to record. Original song players will also have the opportunity to record this song, if they choose so.

The final phase will commence from 5th to 7th of September when a jury and the users of social networks will decide the winner among the eleven participants.

It is expected that the winner of the next Ukrainian representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be announced before 12th of September. Do you have a favourite singer and song/cover? Let us know in the comments below!
