Ukrainian broadcaster has confirmed their participation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw and they announced the way their national selection will be organised. After we revealed you acts 1-3 we also wrote about acts 4-6 then acts 7-10 were revealed and in our last article we revealed acts 11-18, now is the time to reveal more young singers acts 19-25 who are competing for the final 11 spots which will be decided from 26th to 27th of August we can present you other Junior artists fighting for a place in the national final. Ukrainian Junior Eurovision selection was also hit by a disqualification of one of the applicants about which we wrote here.
Applications are opened until 25th of August. Participants can submit their applications at the UA: PBC website , if the application meets the requirements of the national selection regulations the participant’s video will be published on the website with the hashtag #uajec2020. And each participant can collect “likes” for their videos until 25th of August. So far they have revealed three participants some of which are familiar to the Ukrainian audience.
Alisa Chydzhan is covering a traditional song “Letyt’ Halka Cherez Balku” (Hawk is flying through the beam). She is from Kharkiv and the audience knows her as the participant of 3rd season of The Voice Kids Ukraine where she came to the battle rounds. Alisa took part in the last years national selection for Junior Eurovision 2019 with the song “Noviy Den”
Sofiya Kostirko sings her original song “Muzika” (Music) she is 13 years old from Mykolayiv and has already took part in many various festival and competitions.
Ivanna Ohyr is covering “Oh! Darling”.
Ehor Umanets is covering “Creep”. He took part in the 5th season of The Voice Kids Ukraine where he was coached by Jamala and he reached the battle rounds.
Darin Osman is Ukrainian-Egyptian singer which is covering “A Natural Woman”. Last year she recorded a song “Наш дім” as part of anti-bullying campaign.
Milena Putyato is performing her song “Move Your Body”.
Iryna Sheheda is singing her original song “Syla – Lyubov Moya!” (My Strength Love)
From 28th of August to 4th of September, the list of eleven finalist will be announced and the relevant agreements will be signed. Additionally, UA: PBC will provide a song for participants who have submitted previous versions to record. Original song players will also have the opportunity to record this song, if they choose so.
The final phase will commence from 5th to 7th of September when a jury and the users of social networks will decide the winner among the eleven participants.
It is expected that the winner of the next Ukrainian representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be announced before 12th of September. Do you have a favourite singer and song/cover? Let us know in the comments below!
