Latvia’s representative for Eurovision 2021, Samanta Tīna, is embarking on a new project as she joins the panel for TV3 Latvija’s new show ‘Balss Maskā.
The show premieres on 13th September and will run for 12 weeks. It follows the format of other ‘masked singer’ shows with the panel needing to act as detectives to identify the identity of celebrities performing behind an elaborate costume.
Talking to Skaties.lv Samanta said
This is a new and unprecedented show in the history of Latvia, and I am sure that the audience on the other side of the screens will have as much excitement as the detective team. I really like that our task is not to evaluate vocal performance, but to expose personalities, which is a new and unprecedented challenge for myself! We are a great team where everyone uses their weapons, thus helping each other!
Samanta is joined on the panel by comedian Baiba Sipeniece-Gavare; Radio host Jānis Šipkēvics, and Jānis Krīvēns Krivenchy who is the lead singer of Latvian hiphop band Singapūras Satīns.

Samanta was originally chosen for Eurovision 2020 when she won the preselection ‘Supernova’ in February with her song ‘Still Breathing’. LTV have since confirmed her selection for Eurovision 2021 with a new song which has yet to be announced.
