Lesley Roy meeting up with Eurovision songwriters
Lesley Roy has announced that she’s writing songs for next year’s Eurovision, meeting up with a number of well known songwriters.
The singer who was due to represent Ireland last year has met up with a number of well known songwriters including:
Erik Dahlqvist (Writer of Dotter’s ‘Bulletptroof’)
Niklas Jarl, (Writer of Jedward’s ‘Waterline’)
Jowst (Singer and Writer of ‘Grab the moment’)
Lasse Piirainen (Writer of ‘Blackbird’)

Although unconfirmed for next year at the time of writing, Lesley spoke to us back in June, saying that if she was asked, she’d love to represent Ireland again at next year’s Eurovision.
Speaking to our editor Matt about next year’s Eurovision, Lesley said:
I’m very hopeful. I’ve had all the conversations with RTE. I will come back as long as the song is big enough. If I can write a song to a standard that we all agree on then I’ll be there!
