Timebelle to release new song “Rapido”

The Bern-based band Timebelle, who represented Switzerland at Eurovision in 2017 have announced details of their new song “Rapido” which will be released this Friday, 11th September.

“Rapido” sees Timebelle team up with Alejandro Reyes, the Latin-pop star, who Eurovision fans will remember from the Swiss National Final in 2018 where he finished 2nd behind Zibbz with his song “Compass”. The song is a laid back late-summer-vibe Latino pop track, sung in Spanish (one of lead singer Miruna Manescu’s four fluent languages!).

The video, which will also be released on Friday, was filmed at the Hotel Belvedere in Spiez, on the banks of Lake Thun and we have been lucky enough to see it ahead of release. The beautiful backdrop features young actor Matteo Wasecha and Miss Bern 2019, Alicia Shubach, in a story of emerging romance which takes a twist. We are sorry that you will have to wait until Friday to watch it, but it will be worth the wait!

Timebelle’s Emanuel Daniel Andriescu states “We discovered that latin-pop and Timebelle are the perfect match. Our goal is to create music that gives joy and latin-pop already includes this feeling in its rhythm.”

The band are no strangers to collaborations with Eurovision entrants, 2018’s “Tocame” featured Moldova’s Sunstroke Project – it also had the Latin vibes that you’ll hear on Friday when the new song drops onto all the usual streaming platforms, be sure and give “Rapido” a listen!

Timebelle represented Switzerland in Kyiv in 2017 with the song “Apollo”, finishing in 12th place in the 2nd semi final.
