Verka Serduchka releases new music!

One of the most beloved Eurovision drag artists, Andriy Mykhailovych Danylko better known for his drag persona Verka Serduchka released new songs! Andriy is a Ukrainian comedian and pop and dance singer. This new release was earlier announced with the song “Make it Rain Champagne” The new releases includes the song “Disco Kicks” which you can listen below and other songs which you can listen further in the article.

Verka Serduchka represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and finished second with “Dancing Lasha Tumbai“. New releases are a tribute to all Eurovision fans supported Verka through the years. The songs include a mixture of irony which is present in the lyrics and the party beats. The producers and the authors of the song include some of the most well known Swedish authors: Andreas Öhrn and Peter Boström (Bassflow) (with co-writing by Chris Wahle). One of the songs has a symbolical name “Swedish Lullaby”.

In 2016. Verka was the spokesperson of Ukrainian Eurovision votes, while on the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 held in Ukraine a special show “Verkavision”, was produced and featured the chronicled of Verka Serduchka and her journey as a Eurovision “star”. In 2019, Verka appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest final hosted in Israel as part of the interval act “Switch Song” and sang the winning entry in 2018, “Toy”. The third song of the release is “Sexy”.

Verka has also appeared in over several TV Movies and had a guest appearance in an American movie “Spy” from 2015. Recently Verka participated at a special music mashup to honour Ukrainian music for the celebration of Ukrainian Independence day you can read about it here.
