LRT opens the submission window for their entry at Eurovision 2021!

Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has announced that the submission window for the entries to compete at Lithuanian national selection for Eurovision 2021 has opened today and deadline for all of the applications of songwriters or performers are accepted until 14th of December. All rules of the selection and application forms can be found here .

Last year’s changes in the selection of the national” Eurovision” have paid off, therefore there will be no cardinal innovations in this year’s selection rules, except for the circumstances related to the pandemic.

There are going to be a few differences to the last years selection procedure as the national contest will not take longer than 6 shows to get carefully selected, professionally presented works on the air. Depending on the number of selected entrants, there may be fewer shows.

The working group which will be supervising the process of candidates selection will be led by general director of LRT, Gytis Oganauskas who will be joined by Vytautas Bikus (author of Lithuanian entries for Eurovision 2015 and 2018) as well as many other producers and members of LRT. All of them will have until 23rd December to select and inform participants who advance to the televised shows. The first heat of the show is set to take place on 16th of January.

LRT offers the opportunity to answer all the questions and hear the expectations of the potential performers, producers and songwriters, so they are organizing a virtual meeting which is set to take place on 5th of November at 9 AM (CET). The winners of Pabandom iš naujo! 2020, “The Roop” are automatically in finals of the 2021 selection finals.

    Artists gonna be revealed earlier. First heat is on the january 16th. Correct it!
