Spain yet to decide the method of selection among 4 potential Eurovision songs!

As it has been already announced Blas Cantó is going to wave the Spanish flag at Eurovision 2021 and he has planned to propose four songs to RTVE and Warner Music out of which one will be chosen as his entry at the next years contest. The method of choice remains undecided.

Considering different genres and musical trends in order to choose the songs which will proceed further as one of the potential entries of Spain at Eurovision 2021 four songs made the cut, all of the four will present a certain variety within Blas Canto’s talents. Even though the medias have reported that Blas was working on his new Eurovision songs with the winner of Eurovision 2019, Duncan Laurence, it is expected that among the chosen songs there won’t be any of the ones the two of them worked on.

It is true that working with adult artists, and in many cases established, it is more difficult to reach a consensus with the type of song that can represent us.

The next question which needs to be answered is, whether Spain will decide to go for an internal or audience choice. For most of the internal selected candidates Spain also used the same method to select their entries while the last time they went for an audience choice of the song among previously selected candidates was in 2013 with El Sueño de Morfeo and when “Contigo hasta el final” has been chosen by both jury and televotes among all of their potential entries.

The entry for 2020 was internally chosen song “Universo” you can listen to it below:
