Elina Nechayeva ended on 2nd place in The Masked Singer – Estonia!

The second season of the Estonian version of the show The Masked Singer which originally goes by the name “Maskis Laulja” has just finished and it revealed it’s second winner. The participant in the costume of Phoenix ended the contest as the runner up and the mask has revealed to us a famous face, it was Elina Nechayeva the representative of Estonia at Eurovision 2018. The second season was won by Arctic Wolf and the person behind the mask was Mikk Saar (husband of Tanja Mihhailova-Saar, Estonia 2014 and participant at Eesti Laul 2021).

Elina was not the only former Estonian representative at Eurovision Song Contest which participated in the second season of “Maskis Laulja” except her there were Peeter Oja (part of Kreisiraadio at Eurovision 2008) who was eliminated second with the mask of Alien, Elina Born (Eurovision 2015) ended on sixth place, she was in the costume of Lynx. The first season of the show also featured Eurovision stars, as stonian representative at the contest in 2011, Getter Jaani ended on seventh place. The runner up of the “Maskis Laulja” first edition was Kaire Vilgats who will be taking part at Eesti Laul 2021 with Dagmar Oja as Suured tüdrukud she is no foreigner to Eurovision to as Kaire holds the record of highest number of participations at Eurovision for Estonia. In 2000 and 2002, she sang backing vocals for the Estonian and Maltese songs, and did the same for Estonia at 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019. She was set to take part at the Eurovision 2020 as a backing singer before the contest got cancelled. The winner of “Maskis Laulja” season one was Stefan Airapetjan who was the finalist of Eesti Laul in 2019 and 2020.
