Festivali i Kenges 59 to be pre-recorded! Here’s everything you need to know…
The 59th edition of Festivali i Kenges is set to take place next week in Tirana, where 26 acts are going to be competing for representing Albania in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Here is how the show is going to work, and what we can expect every evening.
Festivali i Kenges will take place over three evenings – two shows on Monday and Tuesday where all 26 songs are going to be presented, and the Grand Final on Wednesday, where the winner is going to be decided.
On both first and the second nights, all 26 artists are going to be performing – on the first night on Monday, they will present their song how they would be performing it at the Eurovision Song Contest, whist on the second night on Tuesday, they will present a more acoustic version of their song. Based on these two performances of each of the 26 songs, the FiK jury is going to select the best ones which will then proceed to the Grand Final on Wednesday.
On Wednesday evening, we will see the finalists performing the original versions of their songs once again, and the jury selecting the winner. All performances in all three shows are going to be pre-recorded, whilst the jury votes and the award presentation are going to be live.
