Klinti:”My song has a message which everyone needs to hear during this pandemic”

Klinti Çollaku is considered as one of the best young singers in Albania, he won the sixth season of “The Voice of Albania” and so far he has released several songs and music videos while also he took part at musical festivals in Albania.

Hello Klinti, you rose to fame after you won sixth season of The Voice Albania back in 2017 how was that experience and how did it change your life?
I dreamed being on the voice since i was a kid and at 2017 I dedicated to participate to make my dream come true to win the voice of Albania. That was an amazing experience,an amazing journey which ended very well and people started knowing me more.

This is your second time competing at Festival i këngës, the first time was back in 2017 when you ended on 6th place with the song “Me Jetë”, a ballad, composed by Endrit Shani and lyrics were written by Pandi Laço which are also the ones behind your entry this year “Do t’ia dal” what inspired you to take part at the competition again?
This time is for a more powerful and meaningful reason, its because not only Albania but the whole world is going through a pandemic and the message that the song gives is “I will make it through no matter what” Its a message I need to hear and people need to hear. I love this song and I cant wait to perform it live.

When you participated both at Kënga Magjike and Festival i këngës you ended on 6th place will that change this year and if you win how would the chance to represent Albania at Eurovision make you feel?
It’s also my dream since I was a kid,I dont know why but I feel that not necessarily this time but one day I will be at the Eurovision Stage, because is you work for your dream and you really want it,you can get it!

What was the idea behind “Do t’ia dal” and what does it mean for you, are Endrit and Pandi the perfect team you will never change?
Its a big ballad with a big message,I explained at the second question how much it means to me.Endrit and Pandi are very similar to my taste in music thats why I collaborated with them two times but that doesn’t mean I will never change.

Can you tell us something about your performance?
I can only say that I will keep It simple and it will be very emotional.

The competition of this year’s Festival i këngës is so tough, which act do you see as the biggest competitor/like the most?
For real, I only compete with my self so I don’t want to give other names, because everyone is special in their own way.

What is your first memory related to Eurovision? Do you watch the show regularly and which song is your favourite?
I remember i was only 6 years old when Albania took part for the first time with Anjeza Shahini In Eurovision. That was the first time I watched Eurovision.

What do you do when you are not creating music and singing?
I just finished studying for Business And Management and Behind music everyday I study for new ways to help my family business, I go out with my friends,I go to gym etc.

What are your plans after Festival i këngës?
I will continue writing songs,i have a lot in archive so I cant wait to share them with the public.

Thank you so much for your time Klinti. We wish you the best of luck at Festivali i këngës.
