The 59th edition of Festivali i Kenges is set to take place from Monday until Wednesday next week. A total of 26 artists have been selected to compete in this year’s festival, where the winner is going to represent Albania in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, however one of these 26 will not be competing after all – Manjola Nallbani.
As we reported earlier, Manjola Nallbani was infected with COVID-19 earlier this month, which stopped her preparations for the festival, and she did not attend the rehearsals. RTSH has now confirmed to ESCBubble that due to the virus, she is no longer going to participate in this year’s Festivali i Kenges, leaving 25 acts in the run to represent Albania in Eurovision.
Manjola was set to compete with the song “Ora e jetës”, written by Eriona Rushiti, and this song was now also taken off of RTSH’s official Youtube channel.
