The submission window is still opened and it is closing on 10th of December so interested artists can still submit their songs for Dora 2021 via the HRT website (click). Let’s remind you that apart from the standard 3-minute rule, and the contestants need to be minimum 16 years old, the following rules also apply:

  • Only 5 people will be allowed on stage;
  • All backing vocals need to be pre-recorded, only the lead vocals will be performed live;
  • Songs can be in any European language;
  • All interested authors can apply, but all artists must be Croatian citizens.

Dora is still planned for 13th of February in Opatija, and it will be organized according to epidemiological measures at the announced date. Same as Eurovision, Dora will be having several options in order to take place but cancellation of the show ain’t one of them.

It is not easy to work and prepare Dora without actually knowing what the conditions will be at the time of the event taking place, but the current state is like that everywhere and we mustn’t give up to organize it. We hope that the year ahead of us is going to be much better for everyone.

Uršula Tolj. ahead of HRT
