Polina Gagarina is the first female coach whose candidate won The Voice Russia!

The 10th season of famous music show “The Voice” had it’s final in Russia The broadcast has just finished on Channel One and the candidate coached by Polina Gagarina came out as the winner. 17-year old Yana Gabbasova was ahead of the second placed Oleg Akkuratov who was coached by Valery Sytukin by just one and a half percent of the audience votes. Other two coaches were Basta and Sergey Shnurov. This was Polina’s fourth time as the coach of “Golos” and the first time her candidate won the show.

The judges among the Russian version of “The Voice” include several other Eurovision stars, Dima Bilan and Ani Lorak (neither of them won it as a judge), but that’s not all as the first winner of “Golos”, Dina Garipova performed at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. The victory of Yana Gabbasova who was mentored by Polina also marks as the first victory of a female coach at the show.
