RTP has made the announcement that news regarding their national selection, Festival da Canção 2021 could be expected this Friday, 4th of December live on their social medias together with Joana L. Martins. You can check the Instagram and Facebook announcement.

The description of the photo was as follows: “There are news coming to your timeline about the next edition of the Song Festival. Friday stay tuned to social networks and participate in Live with @joanamartinspt to comment … SURPRISE! 🎉”

There are no more informations about the news which are going to be made on Friday but it is expected that some informations about the composers, entries or the details of the show could be made as the submissions closed on 25th of November and 20 songs are set to compete in the Festival da Canção 2021 while the other things remain same as last year, two semifinals but five songs will qualify to the final. RTP plans to invite 18 composers and the remaining 2 places will go to the ones who applied through public submission window.
