Jedward submit songs for Eurovision
Jedward have announced that they’ve submitted songs to represent Ireland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The duo wrote on Twitter:

Aswell as announcing that they’ve submitted songs, the duo have also said that they’d like to return to the contest, saying:
In these ‘unprecedented’ times we volunteer as tribute to be standby act for all countries in Eurovision! All we ask is for Spectacular Pyro, Hairspray and Sequins.

As we announced last month, Lesley Roy will be representing Ireland at this year’s Eurovision. It’s unclear at this stage whether the duo have written songs for Lesley, or if the songs were submitted before the news of Lesley representing Ireland was announced.
Jedward represented Ireland in both 2011 and 2012, placing 8th in 2011, the country’s best result since 2006, aswell as finishing in 19th place the following year. The duo also appeared as judges at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Could Jedward have written songs for Lesley Roy? We will of course update you on any news.
