RTP held a special press conference where they announced the names of the artists competing at “Festival da Canção 2021”. The 20 authors revealed by RTP were previously distributed in the two semifinals. First semifinal is scheduled for 20th of February and it will be hosted by Jorge Gabriel and Sónia Araujo while the second semifinal is set to take place on 27th of February and hosts of it are José Carlos Malato and Tânia Ribas de Oliveira. The vote which will determine the five acts of each semifinal to go through to the final is combined by audience (50%) and the jury (50%). The grand final of “Festival da Canção 2021” is scheduled for 6th of March and it will be presented by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim. Inês Lopes Gonçalves will be the host of the green room of semifinals and the Grand Final.
Semifinal 1 will be held on 20th of February and it will feature:
Sara Afonso – “Contramão” (Filipe Melo)
The Black Mamba – “Love Is On My Side” (Tatanka)
Valéria – “Na Mais Profunda Saudade” (Helder Moutinho)
Semifinal 2 scheduled for 27th of February will have the following ten artists:
Ariana – “Mundo Melhor” (Virgul)
Carolina Deslandes – “Por Um Triz” (Carolina Deslandes)
Graciela – “A Vida Sem Acontecer” (João Vieira)
Joana Alegre – “Joana Do Mar” (Joana Alegre)
