Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021 without audience!

On 13th of January we will get to know which seven acts are going to compete in the final of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021. But until then as Euroviisuklubi OGAE Finland reports the Finnish national selection for Eurovision is going to be held without the audience given the situation regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

UMK:n finaali järjestetään tänä vuonna ilman yleisöä. Kotikatsomoita siis virittelemään.

If the claims of OGAE Finland are true then no audience will be attending the final in Tampere when the show celebrates it’s tenth edition- For this edition Finnish broadcaster Yle received 278 submissions out of which seven were selected to be part of the final. It is already known that last years winner of the show, Aksel Kankaanranta won’t be back as he didn’t submit an entry. He won UMK 2020 with the song “Looking Back” which is available below.
