BBC chats to Duncan Lawrence as he continues his climb up the UK charts with “Arcade”!

Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Lawrence is continuing his success in the UK with his winning song “Arcade” despite it nearly being 2 years following the contest!

In the week following the contest “Arcade” peaked in the Official UK Chart at number 67 before quickly falling out of the top 100. However thanks to the popularity of the song on video sharing app TikTok, the song has found a new market in 2021 in the UK and its showing no signs of slowing down.

“Arcade” first re-entered the UK singles Top 40 a couple of weeks ago, hitting number 39. Last week it rose 6 positions to 33, and today it has gone up 4 more places to a new peak of number 29!

Duncan will be interviewed on BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat show regarding this new success at 17.45 GMT (18.45 CET) today and you can listen to it here internationally on the BBC Sounds website or via their app.
