Benny Cristo to sing the “song number three” in Eurovision 2021!

After winning last year’s online national final ESCZ with “Kemama”, and the cancellation of last year’s Eurovision Song Contest, ČT has internally selected Benny Cristo to represent the Czech Republic in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. Earlier today, Benny and ČT’s Assistant of the Head of Press Ahmad Halloun held a live Q&A on Instagram, where they have revealed more information on Benny’s Eurovision entry.

Benny Cristo has submitted three songs to ČT for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, and none of the songs had their title. Members of ČT have chosen ‘song number three’ to be the one for Eurovision, which is in a completely different style to his last year’s entry “Kemama”. The song still doesn’t have a title, and all we know about it is that it’s not afro-pop, it’s uptempo, and its lyrics are in English, with one line in Czech, as Benny wanted to include the Czech language in his Eurovision entry.

Shooting of the video clip is going to start very shortly, and the song song is going to be released later this month – together with its video clip. However, Eurovision fans will be able to listen to the song before that as well, as a teaser will most probably be released during next week (together with an announcement of the song title). Apart from that, Benny is going to run a competition where single Eurovision fans are going to have a chance to listen to the song premierly and in full, before its official release, if they are ready to spend Valentine’s Day together with him. How you can apply, and what the rules of this competition are going to be, will be announced in the coming days.

Whilst we are waiting for his brand new song, give another listen to Benny’s 2020 entry “Kemama” right here:
