Jury members of Festival da Canção 2021 revealed!
The Portuguese national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Festival da Canção, will begin on Saturday, Febraury 20th with the first of two semi-finals. Just before the start of the live show in Lisbon, RTP published the six personalities, which will judge the Portuguese songs in the semi-finals.
The announced jury members are:
Marta Carvalho – singer-songwriter and finalist of “The Voice of Portugal”
NBC – Portuguese singer-songwriter
Paulo de Carvalho – Portugal’s Eurovision entrant in 1974
Rita Carmo – Portuguese music photographer
Rita Guerra – represented Portugal at Eurovision 2003
Vanessa Augusto – Portuguese radio host
The jury will decide 50% of the outcome in Portugal, with the other half of the resulsts being decided by Portuguese televoting. In case of a tie, the act with a higher jury ranking will qualify to the final, while in the final itself, the act with the higher televoting score would win in the event of a tie.
The jury in the grand final will be divided into seven Portuguese regions, including both islands and the mainland.
