In an interview for Danish Eurovision portal eurosong.dk Ben & Tan revealed that they have submitted their song “Iron Heart” to Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2021, but they didn’t get a chance to perform it in the final as the Danish broadcaster DR hasn’t  selected them among the acts which will be competing for a chance to represent Denmark at Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The song Ben & Tan submitted calls “Iron Heart” and it is written by Jimmy Jansson, Marcus Winther-John and Emil Lei. After they haven’t been selected for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix they have also submitted the song to the Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen.

Ben & Tan announced that their song will be out on 5th of March a day before the Danish final. Benjamin said that after all the hard work which the Swedish producers, Tanne and him invested into the creation of the song he feels disappointed for not even getting a chance to compete among the finalists at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Ben also added that there were other countries which haven’t selected their representative for the cancelled Eurovision 2020 to be back at the contest this year, but they still let them take part in the national selection or invited them to compete at the show (as it has been the case in Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden) on 3rd of April last year Danish broadcaster DR announced that they will be organizing Dansk Melodi Grand Prix to determine their next Eurovision representative revealing that Ben & Tan haven’t got a secured place in the national final set to take place this year.
