Rein Alexander competed in the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2020 with the song “One Last Time”, he has been performing concerts in various countries including Norway, USA, Iceland, Italy, UK and Sweden while he also played roles in several musicals and opera.
He played Jean Valjean in “Les Misérables”, Anatoly in “Chess”, Terje Vigen, Caston in “Beauty and the Beast”, Shere Kahn in “The Jungle Book”, Anton Fugger in “Which Witch” and more. He has received awards at schools such as Royal Academy of Music and The Reykjavík Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts. In 2003, the Norwegian people voted him to victory in the NRK program Kjempesjansen. The team behind “Eyes Wide Open” includes Rein Alexander Korshamn, Christian Ingebrigtsen who took part at MGP 2010 as a member of the band A1 with the song “Don’t Wanna Lose you Again” and Kjetil Mørland who represented Norway at Eurovision 2015 with Debrah Scarlett and was a finalist of Melodi Grand Prix 2019 with “En livredd mann”.
His song for Melodi Grand Prix 2021 has been leaked on YouTube so we suppose that some of our readers already heard it even so it is now officially released on streaming platforms so if you wish to support Rein Alexander and his work don’t forget to stream and listen to the song from the platforms it got released. Wow, what a day this ended up being! Eyes Wide Open is officially released on all platforms at midnight Norwegian time. However, it has now been leaked on YouTube. I was so suprised when getting the news after my soundcheck today.
We have no idea how this happened, but are now trying to think positive about it. As I guess now you get a few extra hours to play it on repeatIt’s quite crazy that it was this song that ended up getting leaked, as its message is that we need to create a better world, stand together, and be kind to each other. Eyes Wide Open is promoting fair play, and this is not fair play… I’m sad for the esc fans, the loveliest people in the world, who has waited patiently for this release.Allthough this is scary, I still hope that the song is well received and that you enjoy it!I can’t wait to perform it for you guys on Saturday!!
